The International Society for the Psychoanalytic Study of Organisations (ISPSO )recently celebrated it’s 40th birthday at the 2023 Annual Meeting in South Africa. I was sorry not to travel to the meeting, and thank the organising committee for their amazing work, and for making it possible for people to join online from around the world. As part of the birthday celebrations, members were invited to share their reflections on memorable experiences of ISPSO. It was a wonderful trip down memory lane. Anna Reiche created an amazing video compilation of interviews with past presidents and distinguished fellows.
I was invited to draw my associative experience to the interviews. Such a privilege. Thank you to the birthday celebrations committee Susann Naomi Israel, Anna Reiche, Ekaterina Shapovalova, Larissa Philatova and Brett McFarlane. And, of course, Prof. Dr. Claudia Nagel The images were created on an iPad, using an app which allowed me to create a video of each image being made, stroke by stroke. This is an important factor in my work, as the process is as important as the final image. I hope you enjoy this video compilation of the drawings as a reflection on ISPSO’s first forty years.
