DR NUALA DENT

PhD, MAppSci(OrgDyn), GCL&T(HE)

Nuala supports her clients to manage the ambiguity and paradoxes inherent in organisational life, and to lead change in complex and uncertain times.

Nuala has close to twenty years’ experience in leadership and organisational development and has worked with leaders in diverse roles and organisations both in Australia and around the globe. Her work spans entrepreneurs, middle managers, and senior leaders in health, tertiary education, not-for-profit and corporate sectors.

Her work integrates a deep knowledge of group dynamics and art-based methods with an action learning approach. This method supports people to develop their critical reflection - to notice patterns of relating, to consider the formal and informal roles they take up, to inquire into their experience of work, and to question assumptions about how work ‘should’ happen. People are then able to have conversations and make decisions about the organisational structures, processes and resources needed to support their work.

Nuala publishes and presents regularly and is an Associate Editor of the journal Organisational and Social Dynamics (UK). Available as a  guest lecturer and for seminars and workshops, her roles in academia have spanned Australian Catholic University, Swinburne University, Victoria University, University of Divinity, National Institute of Organisation Dynamics Australia, The Grubb Institute (UK), and INSEAD Business School (Singapore, France, UAE).
